Three Injured in Shooting

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that injured three men in Huntington Station.

Three males, ages 16, 18 and 22, were sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of 123 First Avenue when a large group of males surrounded the vehicle and at least two members of the group shot into the vehicle, injuring the three occupants. The three victims were transported by Huntington Community Rescue ambulance to Huntington Hospital.

The 16 year old male, of Smith Street, Greenlawn, sustained a gunshot wound to the left arm and a grazing wound to his head. The 18 year old of First Avenue, Huntington Station, sustained a gunshot wound to his groin. The 22 year old, of Wyman Ave, Huntington Station, sustained gunshot wounds to his right arm, right armpit and right hand.

The investigation is continuing and detectives believe the shooting may be gang related.
